Does anyone know the weight of the 3.5 ecoboost rods. i just bought a new raptor crank, new rods and new pistons. I weighed the rods out of the engine that came in my sho that had 110k miles. After weighing all the rods the average came to be around 650g. I was surprised at the amount of difference between the weight of these components. some of the pistons had a difference in weight of 15g and 20g. the set i bought claimed a 1.5g spread and i went ahead and made the difference under a half gram between all pistons. I also went and made sure that a complete rod and piston with pins and rings and bearings all weighed the same as the avarage of the oem parts. but i cant find the exact weight of what the oem rods are supposed to be to make sure all my parts weigh the same as oem. i need the sho back up and running asap because its starting to snow here in the pacific northwest and every machine shop ive contacted will take atleast a month to balance everything for me so im trying to copy the oem weight exactly to avoid having to do that. Any sujjestions or ideas?

You might want to put this in the Maintenance discussions forum. Probably get more traffic. Check 802SHO build thread too. He may have mentioned it or have some knowledge on it.

no idea but you might find this document on cyclone engines useful. fullrace.com is another site for ecoboost info ...
