vibratiion in shifter after rod bearings

so...changed my rod bearings. aside from a stubborn pan bolt, everything went splendidly...except now there's a vibration in the shifter at low RPM that wasn't there when i started. all the rod caps were properly torqued, and everything's back the way it was...so what's going on here?

Did you **** up the slide for the shifter and make sure that its moving freely. Its the part that bolts to the floor with the 2 13mm nuts.

it's kind of a buzzing feeling...almost like the exhaust is resting against the shifter box under the car. it isn't, but that's the best way i can describe it. if it makes a difference, i've got one of jose's SHOrty shifters in there.
