Searching is your friend.... There are a TON of threads on supercharging and the required supporting mods. You can also check out North Texas Performance, they do supercharger kits... hope that helps

I just tried looking up North Texas Proformance and cannot find them on the internet, do they go by another name? I did find "Lone Star SHO" but they had nothing on chargers. Reading some of the other forums There is a person named "Tony" that everyone is referencing to. Apperently he has lots of answers on power adders. Any takers?

how do you know this exact number?

He barely started putting the kits together in the summer, then the first supercharged car was done on SHOMEE that didn't have a MAF gasket installed by NTP. And right now, yall have BlwnSHO's SHO in there getting a rebuilt motor that's getting S/C'd. Yall post pictures of every big job on FB's.

If there's more than those 2, why not post pictures of them or say who they are instead of saying NTP has been installing them for years when they just came out with the kits in the summer?

I mean yes, we know NTP and FPS have S/C kits, but one should not lie and say one business has been providing the same service for years like the other competitor.

How many cars have they SC'ed so far?

Tony has installed kits on El Toro in 2001. Mine was done in 2002. Wilson's SHOMEE was done earlier this year with a NTP Kit that includes the water-to-air intercooler.

Currently there are three cars at NTP getting supercharged. Two are getting new built motors.

I've only posted pictures for Tony's customers that have asked to be posted.

No one has lied Brian. You are just assuming once again.

Then what do you call the statement below?

North Texas Performance has been supercharging cars for years also and still around.

NTP has officially installed one supercharger kit on a SHO that is running and that was in June. NTP didn't start offering kits until this summer. NTP was not around when El Toro and your car were supercharged. Yes, Tony has installed yours and his, but it wasn't anytime when NTP was around.

Back to the subject, FPS and NTP both supply S/C'r kits.

NTP

- S/C'r setup is identical to the SHOShop kit
- Belt set up is known to cause slippage [some have repostitioned the idler and/or use a Reichard pulley]
- About 3.5 ft of piping
- Tony has experience from his own SHO, knows little tips here in there, and has one of the fastest SHO's
- Price of kit has not been displayed public as of yet
- Only one to offer an intercooler
- MAF [draw through] is post blower [harder to tune]
- Requires battery relocation
- Changing the belt is a *****

FPS

- S/C'r setup is shaft driven
- No belt slippage problems known
- No more than a foot of piping
- Cost $4,500 for the BYOT kit, and $6,500 for the complete kit
- Has been installing S/C kits for years
- Is one of the original SHO Vendors
- Is a SHOForum Sponsor
- Was the first one to produce and install subframe connectors
- Was the first one to offer aluminum subframe bushings
- Has more overall experience in everything than most SHO gurus and businesses
- MAF is pre blower and draw through [tuning is much easier]
- Requires coil pack relocation and ABS relocation [maybe more?]
- Changing the belt is a snap

Both of these companies use Vortech superchargers and everyone has different opinions on the looks. I personally like the SS style. You can't go wrong with either one, but look up as much info as you can and make sure you pick the kit that fits your needs and budget. Also be sure to ad in a SNP FPR, as I do not believe either company offers in their kit price. :thumb:

Ummm is this mic on?! Tony IS NTP. Read my above post again.

Also Tony's kit is not identical to the SS Kit. Call Tony up....he'll give you the price of the kit.

The "little tips" is like calling Shaq a point guard.

NTP is a business, Tony is a person.

Okay, it's not "identical" but it's very similar and has the same style set up. He used the SS bracket to produce the ones in his kits and tried his best to copy SHOShops piping, which makes it similar. The platform of his kit is the same as SS.

I'm not here to argue anything, I'm only giving information out for someone who wants to know about S/C'ing options and who to talk to. I'm done.

BYOT = Bring Your Own Tuning

Basically everything related to fuel and tuning. If you put it in a search, you will find post made by Doug [SHO Dude], his service, and even pictures of his S/C'r set up.

SNP FPR = SHO Nut Performance Fuel Pressure Regulator

You can find it on www.shonutperformance.com, look under the performance section.

BTW, you can get the parts left out from the BYOT for a decent price if you look around. There's a 255LPH fuel pump kit on eBay for a little less than $80 shipped, Accel 48# Injectors that fit the stock fuel rails for $315 from SNP, Tweecer for tuning for $380 from SNP, and an 90mm Lightning MAF from BuyFordRacing for $79. That's the way I'd do it if I went with the FPS kit.
