Well, the new switch (upgrade black one from Napa) was installed and soldered.

The Switch STILL only works one way. I followed the instructions to the letter and printed out the pictures of the switch and which wires go to which poles. The wires are correct.

Maybe the motor is the problem? Something else I am not aware off maybe?

Please Help, the car is stuck in the garage until I get the sunroof Closed / Working.

Thanks.

Did you try and close it with just the wires before soldering the wires to the new button to see if it works?

Also, when I got the new black switch, one of the little tabs bent and it wouldnt work for me going one way. When you click the button in the direction that doesnt work, take a look at the back of the switch to make sure both contacts are being made.

If I remember correctly, there are 4 wires: red, black, and 2 different yellow wires. To move one way, connect the red and a yellow & the black with the other yellow. To move the opposite way switch the yellow wires. In both directions, 2 connections must be made.

No. I had it solder somewhere else.

I only see one little black 'tab, small round piece of plastic' that the switch strikes. The other side has no tab at all, it doesn't strike anything...

What do I do?

Thanks guys.

The switch only strikes in 1 place on each side. Both sides make 1 connection for a total of 2 connections. If both sides arnt making that connection, the moonroof wont move. When the switch is pushed the other way, each side makes a different connection, both still needed, to get the moonroof to move.

I am not saying this is definitely your problem, but something I have run into before.

I still dont understand why they just didnt make it a 2 wire setup.

Well the sunroof only moves in one direction, now it's open - kicked up for venting.

So does anyone know where I might go beside the dealership to get this fixed?

This is starting to bum me out. :frown:
