Where in NY are you? I can come take a look at it and give you an idea if you are close and you want me to.
I've never worked on a sho with a dropped subframe, but i'm sure I could fix it. You can check junk yards that you know of for the fuel lines and parts, or post a wanted to buy ad on here. You might need a subframe if it's real rusted where the bushings go through. I should replace mine, but it's still safe.

The nut is accesible under the plug. That plug being there means you had the recall done. The washers underneath the bushings probably rusted off. If the car has that much rust I wouldn't waste my time honestly, unless you have nothing else. The previous owner probably didn't maintain the car so you will be looking at spending a lot of money if you want a reliable vehicle.

10k damn.
I put probably 3 into the one I have now, I bought it in october? last year. I was mad about that, mainly because of the rust, but 10k is a lot.
I dont' know about 5.5 hours, that's far. What's your schedule like next week

Your open all the time? What does that mean? If you were close i'd probably lend a hand. I never met anyone off here, and I don't really know anyone that works on cars for a hobby or paycheck anymore.
Why wouldn't you just swap transmissions and have the differential welded?
I have to drop my trans soon for a clutch replacement and other work. I'm having the differential welded, because i'd rather worry about the bearings than the diff pin ejecting.
I'm going to try and attack some of the rust also, but I don't know what is the best way. I'll have to research.

lol i wouldn't say its a hobby but rather a obsession lmao ill have to look into welding the pin. but yeah i tattoo so i make my own schedule lol my next tattoo is gonna be my plenum :) i haven't met anyone on here personally either. im not sure what to do cause i messed with the car last night for ten minutes and got it running lol but the body has no rot lil surface rust but the engine bay like the inner fenders are rotted and my other one the engine bay is beautiful but the rear quarters are rotted and the rocker on one side so idk do you or anyone know if i can replace the inner fenders? i was going through the car and all in all its a nice car the subframe is repairable so i think id rather drive one and put the other one up for major surgery lol my project lol put way more money in it then i already do like i said its an obssesion i fell in love with these cars when i first rode in one :) then i knew id always have one!!!!:omgsho:
