Subframe Connectors + Plans For H brace ?

Now before i get any flaming i have searched the topic but i have my material now and i have the dimensions but i need to know if anybody knows what angle the cut needs to be?

I have this picture to use http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/4/web/256000-256999/256378_48_full.jpg but it doesnt say what the angle should be. Can anybody help? TIA

half-way there, I think.
Man, that's simple trig - do the math. It's about 5.36 degrees, you'll be fine with 5 degrees plus or minus, or use a framing square to figure it out.
Most fab shops only use angles for reference, it's all about the bevel. Now - the cuts are 5.36 degrees for an overall anlge 10.72 degrees.

You still have to make 2 cuts either way, unless you're using 2 separate pieces. Even then, making one cut at 10 degrees and leaving the other square will result in the ends not matching up perfectly - 2 cuts at 5.36 degrees will result in the 2 ends mating perfectly.

How will they not match up correctly, your cutting to pieces of metal strait and then welding them together.

I have plans of making an H-Brace and selling them for maybe $50.00 but i need plans or a master brace........anyone willing to help?

You could get in touch with drivinhard and see if his guy in NY is planning on another run of H-braces.

I made one cut a 10.7 degrees and the first one fit perfect and the second connector was a tad off but nothing that caused any trouble. I have some 2x2 14 gauge steal already so im going to just cut it up and make it fit, i measure the box to be 5.75 x 9 inchs.
