because racecar! haha

I did always cringe when I see some of the locals buying $30k Cobras then basically turning them into GTs for drag racing. Could've just started with a $2800 GT and put a build Teksid in and be $10k into the car lol. But when you talk to those guys they want the heritage of the Cobra. Most of them end up being salvage title cars though.
@Deezuz comment was hilarious. Yeah why don’t I buy another car, swap all my stuff over? That would be ********. I already own the car. I want a built Ecoboost SHO. So it cracks you up that I’m not building a Limited Taurus? That cracks me up. Not interested in a built Limited. Oh yeah I removed some sound deadening….wow! That’s like not even anywhere close to anything. The entire interior can go right back in at any point. But even if I do hack it up who gives a shit, the only person that should give two ***** is me, the owner.

So it wasn't today but over the weekend me and my buddy did a custom trunk install for my alky control meth kit. The instructions were pretty good, but a little mixed up at times. We made it through no problem. All lines were dry and all electrical connections worked properly first try. Everything possible is hidden and tucked away. Run along the wiring bundle that runs from the rear down the driver's side door sills, then through the firewall by the brake pedal. Only things visible in cabin are the LED lights and mini controls. Still have to trim up the carpet in the trunk to go around the tank setup but that's it. I think it turned out pretty nice  Time to start dialing it in!20220406 17565220220406 17553920220406 17574520220406 175216 20220406 175815

Thanks bro! Only thing I may add is some black wire loom over the braided line to make it blend in even more under the hood. On the fence about it yet

I don't even notice it in the front pic, but someone's gonna accuse you of running nitrous with that SS line haha.

When I had my meth kit, I always wanted to build a false floor in the trunk with a trap door for tank access, it would keep you from having to trim the carpet should you ever decide to remove the kit and you can do it with some scrap wood and some plywood scraps.

Will also help should you have anything you need to put in the back you don't have to worry about it ramming into the tank.

Another option is to look into the Cargo Organizer. I have one in my car and it makes the center section level with the sides. Cut out a section from underneath to match your fuel cell. Just depends how much height you need.

Is it possible to install the thermostat incorrectly? I feel like it may have been tilted a little but maybe the housing would cottect that?

you can install it in the wrong way, but it won't be able to sit tilted. It's under a compression o-ring seal.

Actually it is possible to have it not sit flat. When I removed my intake manifold to do the thermostat delete, I found it the thermostat was not sitting Square in the bore. I'm not quite sure how that was possible and it wasn't leaking. Which from what I can see from the design isn't possible. Just make sure you insert thermostat in straight.

So I installed it and my driving Temps are in the 200-210 range?

Does your heat work? Did you follow the Ford burping process to make sure there is no air in the system?

Jack the driver side front up, remove the coolant reservoir cap, and get the car to operating temperature.

Fill the reservoir 1" over the fill line, then rev the car to 3000 rpm for 30 seconds. Return to idle and check the level, topping off if needed.

Repeat Step 3 until you no longer need to add coolant.

Heat works just fine. I did some minor revs but only to 2k. I'll go ahead and try that tomorrow once I get home from work.
Do you mean the passenger side by the way?

I would think so, as you want the reservoir to be the highest point to bring the air out. I just drive mine up on ramps and let it idle until no bubbles came out. I have found that occasionally squeezing the radiator hoses helps, too.

Unfortunately no bubbles and no change.

Will keep updating on here in case anyone in the future runs into the same issue. Warmer day today around 55-60, after a night of sitting I topped off the coolant and drove again. Generally saw temps in the 190s now but jumped up to 200ish after i parked and tried the break in procedure again. Noticed that there's no hiss when i open the reservoir cap.
