If you had a charging system DTC, I rarely see those resolved with a battery. Usually the battery is an affect, not a cause.

So many times I get customers with this kind of complaint.
The alternator will start to go bad or connections and start to **** the battery. Well, ******* customer thinks it's cool to just deep cycle a battery and jump it repeatedly. Totally the battery.
They think that the simple fact the battery is dead...means that's the cause.

Installed Jet Hot 2500° ceramic coated PPE downpipes with fresh O2’s. I’ll be honest, all in all, not a very fun job.
The nuts on the turbo flanges were pretty stubborn and awkward. Definitely needed a universal and lots of 1/2” extensions. The nuts on the catback to downpipe flanges were even worse thanks to the winter salt roads in the great state of Indiana. Finally broke three free then the last one just rounded out. Grinder wouldn’t fit so a Dremel, about 12 cutoff wheels, and the sacrifice of my worst wood chisel later, success!
Install was pretty straight forward. The two piece construction of the long pipe I believe benefits the manufacturing process not the install. Didn’t really see any reason for it and just made the job take longer manually figuring out the correct angle for the ******. My biggest take away, PB Blaster is your friend.
I wanted to do a heat test on the cats from factory to coated but didn’t want to wait for everything to cool before I got started. I will test the Jet Hot ones next oil change though and let you guys know what I find.

My weekend consisted of switching to HPTuners for some R&D development with Ortiz Performance, replacing my windshield washer pump, changing my oil, and painting/installing my new grille. I was hoping to get a PTU flush in this weekend, but it didn't happen. Hopefully next weekend will be doing the brake swap finally.

The battery saver message didnt mean your battery was bad at all. It just meant that the BCM thinks that its state of charge is low and will turn things off to prevent it from getting so low you cant start your car.
You can prevent that message when you have an extended key on time by connecting a battery charger to the car and making sure the negative clamp is connected to chasis ground. Use 15 or 20 amp charge rate.
The Battery Monitoring sensor is on the ground side of the cable and if it doesnt see charging curent it assumes the battery is being discharged. So you can still get this message with a charger connected to the battery terminals.

Yup, 100% agree with what you said... however...
1: It’s a 2016 with a 2015 build date with the original 650CC battery. Wouldn’t be unheard of for the battery to be on its way out.
2: It wasn’t an extended key on issue. As the message would pop up within 90 seconds of going into accessory mode.
3: After a 45 minutes drive, I had the same issue.
4: The car wasn’t cranking over as clean as it used too.. hard starts.
5: I don’t daily this car... it spends a significant amount of time sitting in my garage collecting dust.. which is ******* batteries especially during the winter time.
All the above is classic symptoms of a dying battery. I asked Ford to check the alternator since it was there and they said alt was good.
Since getting the new battery the car starts quickly, I can flash tunes, and I don’t get the battery message...
Granted, it could be another issue and a fresh battery is covering it up... but thus far there is no indication that’s the case.
