Today was the first oil change after crossing the magic 36k mile mark. I did the PTU on the last oil change so I'm good there.

I had a few goodies show up in the past few days too. A few more are on the way as well, most importantly the livewire, and shortly after that a GH AO tune. I was gonna swap the downpipes while I was doing the oil today, but I didn't realize you had to get at the back one through the wheel well. I use a set of ramps for oil changes, which made reaching the rear downpipe impossible.

One question, for those of you that did the downpipes yourselves, did you guys replace all the nuts on the turbo studs and did you end up having to replace any of the studs?

I put liquid wrench on all the studs and all came off nice. there are a few you need to make sure you get the socket on fully

Well I wasn't able to get the downpipes on. Turns out my old floor jack isn't strong enough or tall enough to get the SHO up enough to even safely take a wheel off. My brother has a friend with a shop and next Saturday he's letting me bring it in and use his lift to do it. So at least they'll be on soon.

In other news I got my tune from Gearhead and got that loaded up last night. First I wanna say wow is Gearheads service awesome, they answered emails in like 3 minutes each time. Second, holy buckets, it's like a totally different car. I am super happy with this so far.

I think the fact that I usually ran 91 and this is my first tank of 93 is why the OAR is where it's at. Time will tell. Also this is stock plugs after just 36k.

I will say changing the plugs suuuuccckked, only because the damn coils had a death grip on the plugs. It took forever to get those all off. Had it not been for the coil packs it would have taken like 10 minutes to do instead of an hour.

When I bought my 18 SHO I noticed that night that on the shifter selector where is says P R N D S mine didn't light up at night with the rest of my lights, so I didn't think much of it at first but then I got curious. I took apart the center console and noticed that I didn't have a light bar there...I had a connection to plug into but no light to plug into that connection. After a few Google searches I found out some people were saying that on the 2018's they stopped putting a light in there for whatever reason (maybe save $$$) and it wasn't just on Taurus's, it was other Ford vehicles. So I started looking online to see if I could buy the light itself but couldn't find anything so I found a used shifter assembly online that had the light. I received the package today and and installed the light into my SHO, so now I have a light on my shifter. I don't know how accurate those articles I read were or if the previous owner stole it. My question for y'all is when putting the car into drive, park or reverse does it turn red or different color to show which gear your in? On mine it just stays blue so I'm not sure if I'm missing another part or if it's supposed to be like that, either way I'm excited to have lights in there now even though it's a small victory for me.

Just follow Jordan's install video and by all new push clips. Throw a new T stat in since you are al ready there.

I had issues like that with some tunes. When SCT scrambles the strategy it makes weird shit happen with other software and OBD tools.

Driving home tonight the service advancetrac message and light came on the dashboard, and the car is acting very sluggish. The light/message come on for about a minute and then go away for a few minutes and the cycle just keeps going. When I try to accelerate it struggles to get up and go, so I pull over and turn off the car and then turn it back on hoping it would fix itself but the light is still there. Now the check engine light is on as well, I give it a few revs and it sounds like it's ruining on 4-5 cylinders. Will try to get a scanner to see what codes it's showing later this week as it's already Christmas! Did a little research and it's telling me it could be the:
A faulty wheel-speed sensor
A faulty steering-angle sensor
A faulty rotational-speed sensor
An issue with the steering rack
Something that is lodged in one of the wheels

Would any of those cause the rough idle/rev? I wouldn't think any of those would be rpm dependent.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.9432aae6632243320675c379d00677ae

Replaced Driver side cv axle and lower control arm today. Both boots were busted, the ball joint was basicly flopping around. Drives much better now. Haha.

Has taken me a long time to bring myself to this but about two weeks ago I totaled my girl in an accident on my way to work. No injuries but I’m still crushed by this mess. Loan will be paid off plus a very small amount of leftover money and I’ll be stuck waiting on getting anything else SHO wise as my credit needs to rebound from buying our new home. Kills me not to be able to drive it right now. Was perfect weather in Indiana at almost 60 degrees and sunny
