Plugged a tire.... again. Third time in 2 weeks. It's not even like it's the same issue. nails the first time, glass the second, and a screw the third.

I am told that you should get the mushroom type repair kit. Slime sells those and apparently work well.

Washed and waxed the SHO yesterday, same treatment for the wife's Jetta today. Also installed a the 3 Bar MAP sensor and updated to stage 4 plus 93 3Bar tune. Will eventually get the thermostat as well, so I can rune the 4+X tune

Very nice! A little off topic but is your grille plastidipped or painted? Looks really good!

Cars look great! FYI, reloaded my stage 4 93 4+X tune the other day (was running the 93+ tune) and yeah, f yeah! I usually run the 93+X as my DD tune but decided to play with the other tunes for fun. It's noticably stronger and pulls longer. Get a thermostat and quit messing around

Other than the tune swap the other day, gave mine a quick bath tonight. In the next week or so I'm taking it in to fix a dent on the passenger door. Will spiff it up and post pics once done.

It is indeed plastidipped. Been a few months now. When I wash the car, I coat it with tire shine, gives it that glossy finish

Replaced the rear pads/rotors and painted the calipers/brackets semi-gloss black. Went with high carbon HD rotors and ceramic pads. Fronts will be taken care of as soon as the parts arrive.

Replaced the plugs today as well. Found 5 Sp534's and 1 Autolite XP8363 in the cylinder heads. Previous owner or dealer was probably hunting a misfire and replaced the one plug. Too bad they gapped it at .050. Gap on the 534's ranged from .037-.043. Needless to say, I replaced the plugs with 6 brand new Motorcraft SP534's gapped at .030. Car runs fantastic!

Was it replaced very recently? Was it gapped at .050 or is that what it measured when you removed it? As plugs get older they deteriorate and the gap increase. If you measured it at .050 and it had been there for awhile it could have been gapped much smaller when installed.

The listed gaps were my measurements when I removed them. Plugs looked fairly fresh. I'd assume they'd been in there less than 15k miles. Car has 69k on it now so it kind of makes sense if previous owner swapped them around 60k. Prior to me changing them, car felt like it was down on power and didn't pull like I thought the car should. All is well now, car runs like a scalded dog.

Got the rotors on Amazon from a Canadian seller. They are more than likely a generic brand. Hopefully they are truly high carbon rotors. Only time will tell. As far as pads, I went with Wearever Platinum ceramic. I will be running Akebono ACT pads up front.
