Today put in plugs, 3 bar map, cattless DP, cleaned k&n filter, changed all fluids, and a very nice torrie tune

Yesterday I install Torrie e-30 blending w/93 tune and the car is a different beast !!!!! Thank you Torrie for your incredible fast customer service !!!!

Well I did it today. I just ordered a sct x4 tuner from unleashed. Looking forward to seeing how well it improves my SHO. Will update everyone once it arrives and is installed.

Being excited about getting a tuner I went and washed and detailed the car. Painted the grille added some decals and vented the blow off valves to atmosphere

I work for 3M, so I get discounts on Meguiar's products. Car passed 78k miles and while it smells pretty nice inside, it could always be better. Vacuumed it out and it's currently being bombed as I make this post since it needs to run for 15 min.



Edit: May be too early to tell, but I wouldn't say it's a new car smell. Has a hint of vanilla, otherwise it's an nice smell I think... I'll give it a few days to air out and see what it's like then. If anything, it's better than it was so that's all that matters!

Finished up the brakes, painted the front calipers/brackets, washed the car. Plan on putting a few coats of M-Seal on the body on my day off tomorrow.







Had some more free time today and applied Chemical Guys M-Sealer to the body of the car:

Thanks alot! Akebono ProACT pads up front and Wearever Ceramics in the rear. Rotors are high carbon HD units from a wholesaler in Canada. Fronts are drilled with chamfered holes and the rears and drilled and slotted to the edge of the rotor. Unsure on brand. But after I cleaned and lubed the slides (2 pins were showing rust formation from lack of grease), replaced the slide boots, and installed everything, the braking difference is night and day. I had a nasty vibration and shudder during initial break in, but it was just the rust preventative coating wearing through the pads and rotors. I've put about 150 miles on the new setup and braking is smooth and exact with no more vibration although i'm still wearing through the coating. I know I could remove everything and scuff the pads, but the pad to rotor surface should be nice and married after a few more hundred miles. Bite and pedal feel are unbelievable. I ended up having OEM rotors on the car front and rear. My car just hit 70k miles. The front rotors came off shedding pieces of rotor from the inner veins nearest the hub due to rust formation. Seems like the car had been pad slapped all it's life and the slide pins were never checked for lubricity. Needless to say, the car stops on a dime and looks a lot better through the wheels now that everything is clean and painted. Going to coat the front calipers with M-Sealer just like I did the rears after a few more heat cycles. I like to paint them with high temp paint and let them cure over night then heat cycle the brakes during break-in to further cure the finish on the calipers. Then seal them with M-Sealer. Process is fairly tried and true and helps when it comes to detailing the car. The brake dust simply washes off with light agitation leaving an excellent semi-gloss finish.

Still waiting on a 3 bar map from rock auto tho so I haven't been able to try out his tune but I did try out the 93 canned tune for my 2 bar map and it made a huge difference. I'm telling ya rock auto can't get here soon enough, I'm dying to see how my car reacts to Torrie's tune. I do have a question someone can maybe easily answer? ( I searched the forums with no luck) how do you change which gauges (pids) that you want to look at? I briefly looked at live wire before I left work but seemed like alot of work just to view a different guage IMO.

Lol funny the scanner was way more money and doesn't make your car go like a scared cat so I'll stick with the tuner. Awesome! Just be careful running the canned tunes from SCT, there have been some who have claimed they cause engine issues.

Ordered the Official Ford Map/Navi update(s) version 10.0x this morning for my 2010 SHO.

Lil pricey at $149 but orders placed before 08/31 qualify for free shipping.

It's been a few years since I sprung for an update, so I figured I was overdue.

Looks like this version 10.0x comes with four discs total, and the updates include:

Software Update
Maps & Navi Update
Gracenote Update

So, given all the updates provided, etc. I suppose the price is appropriate. I'll repost with my observations once it's delivered & installed.

Wife drove it early this week and wasn't a fan since it was so strong. Said it smelled like "old man deodorant"... (I'm 33!!! lol). After the car aired out a little, I'm enjoying it. It's a Lincoln, so I guess smelling like an old man is appropriate anyhow.
