Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT....anyone using them for winter's?
Piked em up from a co-worker. Only 1 season on the tires, PI wheels and TPMS for $700. Good deal I thought.

So I got my wheels balanced again with road force balancing this time, and as I suspected, no difference... Vibration is still there
On a happier note, I gave her a bath and a quick detailing

Thank you, and yes it's very frustrating! My premium care warranty runs out this Saturday, I'm tempted to take it to the dealer for one last final try

Use the warranty to keep a record that work still needs to be done to fix a problem you had under warranty.

Can you describe the vibration.
Does it start/stop at a certain speed?
Does is pulsate?
Does it get worse/better when applying the brake?

It's a vibration that can be felt in the steering wheel and the seat, it starts at around 65-70 mph, and goes away once I pass 80. If I just move the steering wheel with my finger slightly it shakes more when I move the wheel to the right vs left, lately I also have a slight pull to the right during braking

Hmmm... Maybe a sticking caliper on the right not backing off the pad all the way?

Seeing that I just dropped a little over $1300 for 4 wheels/tires with TPMS silliness.

Curse you... I wouldn't mind saving over 600 bones for go-fast-goodies

Marius, you should NOT have to put up with the vibration you are describing. I may have missed some of the things you have already done but have you rotated the tires front to back to see if the vibration changes? Also, while the road force balancing should pick up a tire defect, I have found that the operator of the Hunter machine makes a big difference. I have seen cases where one operator says they are perfect only to have another say that the tire needs to be rotated XX number of degrees on the wheel. Certainly, calipers or other brake related issues are a possibility, too.

Have you taken a Ford tech for a ride (or ridden with one while he is driving) to obtain confirmation of the issue? If they agree that there is an issue, your warranty expiration shouldn't be a problem.

I remember being told at one time, if the issue is documented while the car was under warranty and the issue is still unresolved when the warranty period runs out then the issue is still covered? Might want to verify with your dealer.. if that's the case I would take it in before your warranty runs out and make sure that it's documented..

I would feel the same way. Try googling dealerships near you (maybe even a Lincoln dealership) and see how their ratings are. Every dealership will most likely have some upset customers, just see which ones have the most "good" reviews and try there. If you can, call them up ahead of time and confirm they are willing to cover the issue that wasn't resolved while under warranty. It would also help to talk directly to the service manager about it rather than the average advisor.

Most dealships should help, unless they have crappy techs or advisor's... The dealership ends up billing Ford for the warranty work anyway I was told, so for them it's still money in their pockets.

Thank you guys for your support, I called the service manager directly and told him that I'm very tired of dealing with this issue, along with some other issues that have yet to be resolved, he told me to come drop it off on Friday and they will look at it. Let's see how it goes. I did mention that my premium care runs out this Sunday, he said it won't be an issue since this problem has already been documented under warranty.

I'd like to throw hub out there as a possibility. These seem to be prone to hub issues and there's a tsb for his year I believe. Wonder if his has been checked?
