Had my friend help me put in new SP-534 spark plugs, old ones were the original SP-528's with 79k on them, corroded and gap was hugeeee. Now the car runs so smoothly it's night and day, and hopefully this took care of my misfire issue

Edit: my old plugs had some oil residue on them, not a bunch, but definitely some oil, is that something I should be worried about?

Just be glad the insulators weren't cracked! As for the oil, check the intercooler to see if there is buildup in there. Most likely source of oil in the combustion chamber for these engines. Probably not bad for 79K miles tho. Keep using quality full synthetic oil to minimize issues. Change plugs every 30K at a minimum, esp if tuned.

I will definitely be replacing them more often from now on, it was a very easy job too! Now I got another issue to worry about, I put new tires on it, when I drove her home the ride was smooth as glass, then yesterday I had that god awful vibration in the steering wheel and seat around 65-75 mph..
I have no idea what this can be, I will have them rebalance the wheels again, but I doubt that will fix it

If you are feeling it in the seat really bad it's probably one of the rear tires...the weights they use to balance tires occasionally fall off, it's not unheard off... Especially if it drove great one day and crappy the next right after getting new tires... I'm sure a rebalance will fix it...

Most places use those sticky backed weights that go on the inside lip now.. I swear they don't hold as well.. lol

While that is definitely a possibility, I had this exact same vibration with my old tires as well, and I had those rebalanced 3 or 4 times, never got rid of it. Ford swore it was a wheel/tire issue

Huh... Didn't know there was a history there... Bent wheel maybe? But they would see that on a balancer... Too many components can cause that issues if it's been one that has dogged you through different tires... Good luck!!

Yeah it's extremely frustrating, especially when Ford won't even diagnose the issue, they just keep rebalancing the wheels lol. Yeah when I had the new tires put on, I specifically asked them to check my rims. They said they were good as new. I'm thinking wheel bearing or something.

I would go to a different dealership/shop if you keep getting the same issue. Most places don't a good job of removing the residue from the old weights. Look inside your wheel and see if they in fact did add additional weights during balancing. That way you can point out to them that they are BSing you if they didn't.

Definitely remove it and see. I don't know what would work, maybe Goo Gone? The glue by itself probably not so bad, but all the dirt and crap that become embedded in it over time, can add up. I still don't see it being a big issue though.

To check out the wheels, you should go to a shop that has experience in straightening and fixed flawed wheels. They would know best if there's an issue. Or go to a reputable tire/wheel store in your area. They can also make sure the lug nuts are properly torqued.

I would definitely do what SHOdded recommends. Get all the residue off if you can. And go to a reputable shop. I also suggest getting "Road Force Balancing". Check out the 3 minute video, you'll never want a regular balancing again!

They do offer road force balancing at the Firestone where I got my tires, I'll ask them to do that today when I take it back

I am currently at Firestone getting my whees balanced with road force balancing, let's see if this fixes my vibration issue
