That doesn’t seem like something one would endeavor in had they planned to trade her off.

I just couldn’t do it... as my wife said “If you are gonna trade your SHO in, it better be something you are willing to drop your ******* for and sign for it without a second thought!”

Clearly... I wasn’t there... your post resonated quite a bit....

I am however keeping my eye out for a 2018+ GT350 white with blue stripes... I would trade the SHO for that... there are a couple around, but I refuse to pay dealer mark up... I can save 20K getting a used one with under 10K miles based on what I am seeing.

Finally found the official weight of these wheels through a dealer.. each of the Enkei Lusso 20x8.5x40offset with a the 5/114.3 pattern is 26.85lbs and the 255/45/20 Conti DWS are 29lbs vs the stock flowers which I believe are 32lbs and the stock perelli's are 32lbs.. that is a weight saving of 8.15lbs per corner if those numbers are accurate. That is a significant rotational savings plus I get almost .6" of additional tread contact..

Should get that 60ft down easier.

I was a hair away from trading it... thought maybe I should shake it up a bit before hitting the eject pod...

Got the wheel lock off. Bent my breaker bar to do it, and sacrificed a 3/4 socket, lol. Out there is a tire shop that should be sued. They WAY over torqued.

Got some decent weather, took a crack at the ptu fill plug. Got every extension I had to reach it. Got a before and after pic of the plug, all gunned up. Lovely rotten egg gear oil smell. Also tried to get a shot of where the plug is, in case anyone else new to this wants to see. You can get at it by going over the sway bar, but under the O2 sensor.

Then I got my pump hose in there...and we played a little game I call "just the tip" for a while...but that left her and I both pretty unsatisfied, so...
I got one of my daughters crazy straws, heated it and bent it, and voila! Cue the scene from "There will be blood"...."I drink your milkshake!"

I didn't get much out...maybe...4-6 ounces. I put back in half a quart, give or take, so she was thirsty.

Now...time to put that fill plug back in, but I ask you...how? I can't use the same method for extraction...the plug won't stay on the extension. I even put a magnet on it to hold it...but I can't get it on straight, cross threading is an issue. Tried coming from below, no dice. I can't get the threads started. Help?

I started it by hand. However, I know of many people who used extensions and got it through the wheel well.

So, I got it in by hand. That kinda sucked. I have big hands, but I was able to get it. I then did the rear diff. All told, out of both, I got about 1 quart of oil, totally black with metal sprinkles. Magnets all gunned up. I put in about 1.5 quarts back in. I feel that I likely didn't get all the oil out of the PTU. My ghetto straw just barely cut it, in gonna need a thinner hose. And then it rained on me, lol.

After getting a good look at it, my radiator fluid is clean and very orange, seems brand new. I'm gonna leave it for now. Tomorrow, im flushing the tranny. Any pointers?

I would consider another ptu change after a little while to see if the old stuff mixed in with the good stuff. You could always put a drain plug in it.

Make sure you are getting a good brand... I had my insurance company keep going back to the windshield company due to various issue until they stuck OEM back in it...

Creaking, mirror bracket issue, cracking, I went through 3 before they decided to no cheap out.

Absolutely, after seeing how little came out, I figured I could just flush it a little at a time. Honestly, aside from getting the plug back in, it wasn't bad.

I'm nervous about tapping a drain plug. I've no idea what the inside looks like. Where to drill, etc. Lots of ways that could go wrong.

There are some posts and pics about it. I would ask. That stuff gets so heavy and gooey it sits at the bottom. Tough to get out. At least there is some fresh stuff in there.
