I'm on vacation this week, been waiting for oil and other fluids since 2 weeks ago. Stuff finally arrives, and what do you know? Rain. All freaking week. Had one nice day, used it to build a new privacy fence in my back yard, because my neighbors complain about my bonfires. I catch a small break in the rain today, so I go to break the wheel lugs loose in preparation for putting her up on jack stands...and of course, I crunched the wheel lock on the last wheel! These lugs where on WAY too tight. Even with a long handle, heavy duty 1/2 inch chuck socket wrench, I had to use a breaker bar, and that was AFTER wd40 and letting it sit. I'm lucky the wheels weren't cracked. Figuring, hey, I wanted to get rid of those wheel locks anyway, I went and grabbed my Irwin nut extractor kit. And guess what? The size I need? Is the ONE socket missing from the set, lol. Hopefully, this isn't a sign from god. Anyway, some pics of the car.0430201249 0430201320 0430201249b 0430201421 0430201422 0430201249a

Does this forum prefer full images, or thumbnails? Also...I am wondering if anyone has swapped over to steel braided brake hoses, over the rubber, and if so, did it help the brake feel?

Tires! Never heard of these...velozza zxv4. Decent tread depth left, too, sadly. These things break loose suddenly, without much warning. I'm unimpressed by them. I was getting onto a highway onramp, punched into the sweeping turn, all went well, then they cooked, and I slid across a finger of median grass, onto the highway, and across one lane. Thank God there was no traffic! Even in my figure 8s, these were pretty unpredictable.

Is there a write up of your car? Have you upgraded the turbos? Will this flow more exhaust? Stock headers?
Best place to find any info about my car is my youtube channel:

536/647 power numbers break down video and mod list is in the description:

Also the point is to have a crossover that helps scavenging, then the 3.5" is suppose to cut rasp and also weigh slightly less when I am in daily mode. So technically should help in a lot of areas

And you launch that? From, what, 2,000 rpms? And haven't shredded shafts, gears, etc? Honestly, I got my first good look at the half shafts...and I gotta say...I'm unimpressed. Yet, if they hold 600 ft lbs without twisting...in a little amazed!

Entire drivetrain hasn't been touched lol. Still stock trans, ptu, diff, and internals of the motor. Nothing broken... yet

I've got so much work cut out for me. After removing the wheels, I can see that the upper and lower A arms need paint, rust will be an issue. In hoping I can get it done without having to remove them. Little tape and a lot of patience, lol. I still can't believe how thin those drive axles are! Got a good coating of rust on those, too. I'm shocked Cosworth or someone doesn't make beefier drive train parts for this car. Or Hennessey. My bushings are in decent shape...though I admit, if there was a polyurethane substitute, I'd probably go with that.

I watched your vid, wrote down some brands. Very strange. I'm used to going to Summit or Jegs, putting in my car, and getting 50 different choices of whatever it is in looking for. With this car, I gotta watch out. Most suppliers seem kinda small time. Speaking of which, how do I order the trans mount? I'm guessing the dude is a forum member? I don't facebook, and frankly, I avoid PayPal, too, lol. I'm and old fart stuck in a younger dudes body, I guess.

Picked up some Enkei Lusso 20x8.5’s from a fellow SHO owner who auto crosses... currently wrapped in Blizzak but getting rewrapped in 255-45-20 Continental Extreme DWS...

Best part was they are were only $350 for the whole thing.
That doesn’t seem like something one would endeavor in had they planned to trade her off. ;)
