Intercooler Update: A2W IC should be at my house by the time I get home from work today. I will take some pictures of it and post them here later.

I will be taking it to my buddy (who built my custom exhaust) and he will be making the cold side piping. This setup will be utilizing all stock piping (minus the EPP noisemaker). I am hoping to be able to mount it under the crash bar without modification so it will retain almost a completely stock look even when you pop the hood.

I am talking with PNR Welding about using one of their custom in trunk S550 Mustang Intercooler tanks. I want to use an 8 to 10 gallon tank for cooling fluid and I want it to fit in the spare tire void. So we shall see, just waiting on a return email with tank dimensions.

Turbo Upgrade: Yes there is a certain pair of ATP's turbos that will take new residence in the engine bay of my SHO. However there is catch. I will not be able to take possession of said turbos for a little bit. They are still being used for mock up for the new setup of the previous owner.

I would expect a late December installation of those into my SHO, which is a good thing, This will allow me to get everything with the new A2W set up completely ironed out and ready for the new war whistles.

Need to get the LPFP upgrade and then she will be ready to eat.

Maybe I can challenge for the full weight record, until @bpd1151 brings his wild build to the track.

Have Mike check over the turbine housings for cracks. Might cause issues down the road. No clue on the upgraded turbos being prone to cracks but my 10k mile oem set definitely were boogered.

Yup, it's a common issue. ATP says they see it all the time. These were mine, and they only had 25K miles on them at the time.3bb9167d1b5210da7c0558ab8f837e1aDe68ded60b7ac4367e2b0d204717fae7

Edit: not referring to the ATPs, but the stockers, which may not be relevant here, lol

They are cracked. I know for a fact with picture proof. Mike @bpd1151 has always been 100 percent upfront with me about any transactions. They are going to be rebuilt so..yeah. Maybe my stock housing can be used.....who knows.

For sure. Just wanted to make sure. You'd have to have ATP rebuild them I'd assume. Remember Ryan saying it's $500 a turbo or something along those lines. Would need to machine your housings. Went from staying stock ish to well full send!! Love it lol

I think he got so ****** with not hitting the 400whp mark that he decided to skip right over it!

Can you get those in an adult size too?

Right? It is astounding to see how small the A2W IC's are compared to A2A IC's. This one is rated to 600 hp which is right at what my set up will make at the flywheel. I am getting a big water box to put in the trunk so the IC should never really hot, lol.

Update: Hit a couple of snags. My fabricator has been extremely busy lately. No worries on my part. He mentioned something about getting the SHO in next week. With some time to think about this whole process, I was thinking about adding an heat exchanger to the front of the car as well. I have an idea about how I am going to mount everything and it should come out pretty trick. I want to mount in a way that keeps in out of sight.

Also, I am probably going to pull the trigger on a meth kit.....lol.
