Redline LW shockproof oil x1 - PTU
Mercon LV x1 - Trans
Motocraft yellow x4 - Coolant
Those look good^? Quantity?
Redline LWSP is great, I have to in the PTU and RDU. For the PTU it takes roughly 18 Oz. They come in quarts to one is enough. I get it off Amazon.

Mercon LV x 5. 5 out, 5 in. However measure what comes out. I get it at O' Reillys

Motorcraft Yellow or Orange is good. The quantity will depend on if you get prediluted or not. I get it at OReilly's.

I personally run Castrol Edge (Gold Bottle) motor oil with a Motorcraft or K&N oil filter. I buy that at Walmart.

Good luck.

SM is the knock in the engine still there? or have you installed the new engine block?

The knock is still there faintly. The oil is clean...so I just keep sending it. The new motor is just chilling in its plastic wrap, in its box, on a pallet in front of the Lexus.

Lexus Update: Things are going well with the tuner. So we have changed fuel from 91 octane to E30. We have added roughly 4 to 5 psi of sustained boost from 15 psi up to 19 (peaks at 20). Car has really woken up across the low range. It is really nice to drive even with the clunky transmission. The mid and high range is super controlled and predictable but super violent.

We are at the end of the current fuel system and I can honestly say the car is over 500 hp now to the tire. I am starting to gather parts for a boost referenced fuel return style system. Right now it is a returnless sytem which is causing a problem. The new fuel system should be able to 24 to 25 psi of boost with my current 880 cc injectors and 350 lph in-tank pump. If we run out of pump before injectors, I will put in a 450 lph in tank with little modifications to the fuel pump assembly. Goal is to run 25 psi of boost and make 600 hp to the tire on this motor.

Over the weekend, I added a CyrO2 Intercooler Kit with twin cryo bars. Just need to do some final wiring and fill the Co2 bottle. Hopefully this will freeze the IC pretty good and give me some lower IAT's which will give me a little bit more timing, denser air, and more smiles per gallon.20220705 14024520220705 15155220220705 19413920220705 14022420220705 144325

SHO Upadate: I didn't go to the track last night. It was really hot and muggy out yesterday. I didn't feel like beating on M. Sorry guys. When it cools back off, I will send her down the strip.

Lexus Update: Put in the latest revision of the tune. The Lexus is getting after it. Everything looks good. I did finish the CryO2 plates. I hooked everything up and checked lines. I have a large 20 lb bottle and opened the valve and pushed the button...and nothing. The big bottle has too much pressure that it won't let the solenoid open. Lol. I vented the line and it worked. Going to need a regulator for the big bottle. It works, but it isn't optimized. I haven't filled the 10 lb bottle yet, so it might work better with less pressure. TBD.

Your bottles have different pressures? Normally size is just volume. Like on our SCBA, we pressurize them all to 4500 psi. To go from a 30 minute bottle to a 1 hour bottle, it just changes diameter.

I just assumed the bigger bottle creates more pressure. When I open the valve the solenoid doesn't work. When I crack the valve it does. Going to remedy the situation with bigger solenoid.

Is there a gauge on the bottle that tells you what pressure it is at? If you are using their solenoid, it should be good to 1000 psi. I am almost wondering if it is a volume issue. No matter how much the valve is open, it should be the same pressure. Cracking the valve would allow a lower volume vs. being fully open.

I don't have a pressure gauge on my bottle. It is a big 20lb fountain beverage CO2 bottle. We do run regulators on them at the place I liberated my bottle from. Thinking about buying a pump and just transferring from big to small.

The solenoid on the car is pretty small, and I am agreeing that is it probably a volume issue with the big bottle. I have always run bottle gauges on my Nitrous bottles. However they have always been 10 lb bottles, and I have always used the big super power shot solenoids.

Probably going to start with a solenoid swap.
