I wish i never would have ordered anything for my SHO for SHO Shop!! I placed an order back the second week of May of 03, yeah that 4+months, for a Stage II power package, Motor mounts, fuel injectors, fuel pump, and a set of stage 2 cams.. So far i have recieved the fuel injectors, fuel pump and a catless Y pipe that dose not even fit my car!! what a joke a Y pipe that comes in 6 pieces and you have to clamp it together?? yeah thats how we make them at SHO Shop, well needless to say i sent my Y pipe back and found a local guy who is a master at bending pipe to fab one up for me. I canceled most of my order and am waiting for a few thing.

I have to give props to Tom at the SHO Shop.
I bought a race clutch that had a defective pressure plate ring. I sent back to Tom and he replace it with a new one within three days.

It does come in pieces but it's easy to assemble and install. The pipes just slip over one another then you install it, adjust it and clamp the joints. The clamps do tend to leak so I just welded mine up and tossed the clamps. For $160 shipped(group buy), I'm very happy with mine.
The only gripe I had was the rear stud on the front manifold is impossible to access with a deep socket. You have to find a shorter deep socket or buy a cheap one and cut it down.

That's odd. I have no problems reaching any of the exhaust studs on mine 89 with a normal deep socket. I've had my catless shoshop y-pipe on and off a few times. Last time it took something like 5 minutes to remove hehehe. Gotta love that stinky antiseize! I hate getting it on my hands though.

To comment to all the shoshop y-pipe haters: The fact that the shoshop y-pipe is multipiece isn't such a bad thing. Obviously if I have no problems getting a deep socket on all my exhaust studs but some people do then there are fittment variations between individual cars. When you fit up the pieces the y-pipe will be custom fit to YOUR car. Try using muffler seal on the slip fit connections during assembly before you go and weld the pipe up. You can get the stuff from NAPA (NAPA part number 35959) or from rockauto.com (Walker part number 35959. Yes the same part number, probably the same exact product, different packaging).
