Question regarding the HIDs. On my '18 I feel like the lights just aren't quite up to par with what I felt like they should be. I recently replaced the factories with a set of Morimoto 6K bulbs and I definitely love the look. However, I'm curious if maybe there can also be a potential improvement from replacing the OEM ballasts with a new OEM set.
I know that aftermarket ballasts aren't an option, or at least not easily, due to the whole shape of them making the seal on the bottom side of the housing and all that, so I don't really want to go that route. I also don't want to go the LED route, at least not yet.
Would there be any benefit to replacing the original ballasts with a new set? Do they tend to die out or lose power after 8 years? Or would it be a waste of money?
