Secret ford stock rims for the SHO’s

So I have searched high and low trying to find a replacement rim for my car and same as usual when looking for parts for my car I have found absolutely nothing. Chat GPT will pull up a photo of them but won’t give me a link to purchase more. Below I have provided a few pics to show what they look like. Before the questions come in this is what I do know, they were on the car when I purchased it from Ford. When the tire is off the car there is a FoMoCo emblem risen on it with about six other spots with 3-5 letter and number combinations on it. When I put those in to search I find nothing. It’s funny chat GPT will pull an image up but can’t find on any OEM replacement site or search. Please if someone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I need 1 rim but if I can’t find one I’m going to have to buy a whole set of 4 for a minor dent in one.

Have you looked for a used unit? Have you tried to go through a FORD parts department? Sometimes I can't get the specific info I am looking for online and have to reach out to Ford dealer parts people

I have looked for new and used units but had zero luck other than chat GPT pulling it up when I searched 4th gen ford Taurus sho factory rim replacements. I am going to reach out to ford if no one here has seen them anywhere. I guess ultimately does any one else have these rims other than me? If so did you buy them or did they come on the car like mine?

Yeah they aren’t black though, guess I should mention I found design of mine in black but not the regular color like in pics above.

well I think I figured it out I was gonna just cave and buy 4 black ones just now and when u go to purchase it lets you know they are discontinued so I am willing to bet that’s the case with these and why I can’t seem to find em. Going to confirm with ford to be sure.

Pull your rim/wheel off and look at the casting number to confirm. I think those are Mustang wheels, though.

Yeah when I searched 4th gen the part number or what I assumed was its part number nothing came up accept the pic when I searched on chat GPT. I can only assume they were discontinued. I agree I also think they were mustang rims as I have never seen them on another Taurus sho.

I will look into sending it off for repair. Any spot you know of that is good and reputable

I say these are the wheels. Only available in black so, previous owner must have polished them.

I used this place about 15 years ago for refinishing some rims on a 1984 SVO. They did a nice job, but that was 15 years ago. I'm sure someplace exists in Vegas to repair yours.
