Shift Knobs.. Lets see em!

I thought so too, it's classy yet futuristic, but it's $80. I don't really care for the Momo name, hopefully they'll drop the price soon.

You let me know when it does. I'll buy one just so I can say I bought a MOMO shift **** for less than $75.

AutoSHO, what flex are you talking about, the fact that it's a leather **** and not metal? Because no matter how plain it looks, I always went back to the stock ****.

And with any MOMO or imitator **** that's tall and slim, like the Combat or Anatomica or whatever, they sit at an angle that simply does not work on the SHO. And like stated above, the allen screws never stay in place and the shifter works loose very quickly. Not even the ball shifters felt good because they were too small.

I feel the stock shifter offers the best feel in general and when you're tugging hard at the track. I can only imagine being in the middle of an autocross when that MOMO shifter starts working loose and comes out in your hand in a tight exit.

I'm still waiting to see someone come up with a custom re-leathering to the stock boot and ****. Maybe each quadrant of the boot gets a grayish/silver alternating with black. The knobs belly can be in black with the top in silver leather. Just a thought.

But never mind me. I sold my SHO for a Town Car.

its a cue ball that i drilled and tapped to fit the shifter, GO HAWKS!

Now there's something different! I have the 49er cue ball but I don't think maroon and gold match the SHO interior very well...

I found a guy who will make a carbon fiber weave shift boot.. I think itl be pretty cool, and its not expensive at all... I like the Combat, and wont be autorossing much, and I have a cheapo carbon fiber **** on my rodeo, which was also mounted on my 95MTX when I had it, and have never once had to even tighten the allen screws... Go Figure I guess!

Check Ebay, there's a whole bunch of MOMOs for about $40-50.

Because I make more money in a month than what I sold a s/c '92 with many, many mods. And I need the Town Car to make the money. And unless I'm comfortably settled in a new home, with my Town Car and daily driver and I have too much money to kick around, then maybe I'd buy one.

As much as I hate to say it, I have too many plans to sacrifice any of them to have a screaming Yamaha that will unfortunately sap me of my money. I love the SHO more than any of you could know. I owned it for 10 years. I sunk almost $50,000 on it and mods over that time. Too much for me. I needed to move on.

There, I said it. Now whatever little attention was paid to me will now disappear. Sorry guys. I loved the car, the Conventions and the people who shared the love. You'll hear from me, if that means anything to anyone.

Personally, I hope to hear from you again. You obviously have spent a lot of time and money on a car that we all share a common interest. You have experience and could provide a great knowledge of do's and don'ts for the SHO community. So I hope you visit us often!

My universal **** was $10 at autozone. Solid feel, and the universal knobs aren't too bad, except for the fact that the adapter sleeves that come with it are all the wrong size. It's a pilot brand and one sleeve was too big and the next one down was too small.
