I just ran into some more trubble today. about a month ago my cars valve cover gaskets were leaking and I had no power, and was missing, bogging and so on. I did the valve cover gaskets, plugs, plug wires, And now my car still runs like crap. any ideas of what it might be? otherwise I'm taking it into the shop.

Check the firing order at the coil.

bad running

second the coil firing order check. however, if you had the problem before the tune up, maybe something else.

air-supply issues might be culprit. clean out the MAF and check the IABP valve (on intake). also simply running the codes might give you some clues.

think also about a vaccuum leak somewhere, might be small and hard to find.

doubt it would be the O2 sensors, codes would probably show this. fuel side might be clogged filter (easy to replace).

best of luck,

Is it just running rough or is it running on 4 out of 6 cylinders?

I just went through this whole ordeal as well. It turns out that my EDIS module was bad, but only one channel stopped working. The engine was literally running on 4 cylinders.
