I searched the forum and didnt find any answers to my problem except maybe doing SDpatts thing to reset the idleing. (unhook battery, turn on lights, hook up battery, start and turn everything that one uses on and run it til it warms up) I have only had my car since last March, and now that it is getting cold outside, I will start it and at idle the rpm's jump from like 200 up to 1500 or so. Sometimes it will stall. After it warms up, it idles steady around 800 rpm's or so. If I have my foot on the gas while its cold, it runs great. Its just when I take it out of gear coasting to a stop sign or sitting at a light that the rpm's jump and and drop real low. They drop so low the climate control will turn off and then turn back on when the rpm's kick up.
I havnt had to work on my car really at all besides the water pump, so all I can think of is maybe an idle control sensor isnt working when its cold. (If it has one.)
Any thoughts would be a great help! thumbs_u
Thanks in advance.
