I'm going to hit up a junkyard tomarrow that has a 95 MTX and it still has the rod shifter in it and I want it. What all is required to pull it out, like wrench sizes would be cool or any other special tools needed.

You will need to remove from underneath, so you will need a a jack and a few jackstands. Going with that, you will also need a blanket or some clothes you don't care about (pref. both).
Socket sizes-just guessing I would say grab a set of metric sockets ranging from 7- 20 mm, there are only about 3 sizes and they fit within those measurements. You will need an extension also, to get at the bolts under the car.
Also, here is the shotimes page on the rod shifter conversion:

Good reference for the parts list so you don't miss any. One last thing, as you're removing it, try not to ruin the heat shield, you will need this when you swap it to your car. Good luck.

ok, just installed one, so what you will need is

8mm socket
10mm socket
13mm socket
19mm socket
ratchet
extension
philips screwdriver

that should be about it

the 8mm is for removing the center console to access the shifter
the 10mm is for removing the clevis bolt
the 13mm is for removing the shifter and the brackets from the trans tunnel
and the 19mm is for removing the main cross bolt that bolts the shifter to the
transmission

the philips is for undoing the shifter boot from around the console

keep in mind, that mine is an 89, so there are a few different things on how the center console mounts
