i used the two plugs that are supplied but when i hook up the color coded wires it doesnt seen to match up .. anyone ever have problems like this? the yeloow wasnt constant. what are the illuminations wires for? and the amp blue turn on wire doenst work, maybe i have a blown fuse..

There are all the wire colors for the speakers. Send me a PM with your email and I'll send you all the other diagrams associated with the JBL system.

The wiring is weird. So don't feel bad...

Edit: if you're running more than about 200W in your amp, you really don't want to be using the vehicle power wire. It's not big enough. Go ahead and splurge for an 8ga (or even 4ga) amp power kit and route it through the body. It's really not as hard as it looks (you'll need a screwdriver, a boxcutter [preferably one of the small ones] and a 10mm socket) to do.

Most of the time you won't use all the supplied wires. It all depends on the deck you are using.

The illumination wire tells your deck to dim it's display when you turn your headlights on. If your deck doesn't have that wire, then just cap off the wire from the harness.

more problems

all the fuses are good yet still have problems. the yellow wire doesnt supply memory.

the antannae wire doesnt work.

when i dim my dash lights the stereo will turn off and my inside door lights dont turn on..

very confusing..

Maybe you got a defective harness. Sounds like the colors maybe mismatched. Or possibly your deck isn't working correctly.
