rebuilt trans. issues

1994 sho atx, had remanu. trans put in, ck engine light goes on and off, trans works great with o/d off. with o/d on (light on) shifts great into 1st and 2nd, will not shift into drive.
once on interstate hyw. pouring rain it shifted between gears all by itself.
140,000 miles.
i've had the car a year but don't drive it much, apox. 1,000 miles since trans. replaced.
i love sho's. this is my third one.

The trans will normally use all 4 gears. If you push the o/d button so the o/d light is lit, that will prevent 4th gear.

pull the codes to see why the cel comes on and report what you find.

On ATX SHO's overdrive is always on....Puch the button and it's off....Have you ran the codes...
