so, i have an 89' that's been garaged and taken care of all of her life. she only have 108k. the thing is, she starts up beautifully when shes cold. perfect. but after shes been driven for a little while and gotten warmed up, it sounds like the choke doesnt open up.

itl barely start up, and i really gotta give her some gas. but she'll putt and putt and then die. im extremly paranoid about her, and am start5ing to get worried...

any help?

What is the maintenance history on the car? Have you done a 60K? Figuring what shouldn't be broken will help you find out what is.

My 93 atx has had this exact problem for about 10k miles. Starts great cold, but when warm, starts hard idles rough and or stalls (only sometimes, it's completely random when it does this), but will smooth out after 30 seconds or so. I then did a FULL 60k about 5k miles ago and had the same issue still. The only thing I didn't change was my my cam sensor, and my cam sensor was covered in oil when I did the 60k so my guess is you need a cam sensor, as do I if that is the case:rofl:
