hello.I have a 95 3.2 sho.I took it in to do the recall on the cruise deactivation switch. This was a nightmare in itself. The cruise servo went out also,so they found a used one and installed that also.To make it short,I went to pick it up,and when i pushed my o/d button on the shifter, the o/d light did not light up.I did not take it from the dealer. Now they are saying the bulb is not working, but the o/d is working properly. They're saying they will not replace the bulb. They say it has nothing to do with what they did.Any suggestions? It's a furious battle.I just got off the phone with the service manager. He says he's 100% sure the mechanic had nothing to do with it.By the way,the recall caused my brake lights and cannot shift out of park symptoms.any help please.Am I just stuck?

Tell them plain and simple - it worked before you worked on my vehicle. Then ask for the phone number to the District Service Manager, to indicate your intent to take this above the dealer's head, to corporate. That may or may not get their attention. If it doesn't, be prepared to dial and speak to the DSM immediately. You will likely get their voice mail, and if so, leave the following message (as the Service Manager is listening):

"Mr./Ms. [DSM]. I am calling in reference to problems I am having with a recent warranty repair, which the dealer is refusing to address. Please return my call at (***) ***-XXXX. You can best catch me between "Y" AM and "Z" PM.
Thank you!

Knowing both the details of the recall and the circuitry of the O/D lamp and switch, I'd say that the failure was a coincidence and nothing else. That the dealer would work on the servo should be in their credit since it isn't part of the recall and was most likely a preexisting condition.

o.k. lets say it is not connected to the work done, and it's a fluke that it went out.do people just drive without the bulb working?do they get a feel for the car when o/d is being used,or not used?or do they just fix the bulb. What harm will it do to the tranny if sometimes it's not pressed or depressed properly? Thanks for the input.
