Howdy. I have searched the interwebs and can't seem to find an answer. I am looking for the wattage output of the stock, non-sony sound system. Not sure why it's so hard to find this info. I used to work for JBL and am fortunate enough to have a bunch of great gear ready to install. I want to compare what the current system can put out so I can decide what wattage amp to install.

I dont have an answer for you, but what you could do is pull down the trim on the bottom of the rear deck- from the trunk. Then look at the bottom of the factory rear deck speakers and see what wattage is printed on them... that would give you an idea.
Or you could even look at what size fuse your stereo uses.

Maybe an audio specialty shop has those specs. Crutchfield might even have it in their database.

I just messaged with Crutchfield, they think the stock non-Sony system puts out about 12 watts a channel. I am just looking for a metric so I can feel confident about what wattage of amp to put in. I have already replaced the front door (and pillar) and rear door speakers with JBL. I will be adding the JBL DSP4086 to power the existing door speakers (40w RMS @4); new JBL GTO930's will be added to the read deck lid powered by an Infinity 3004a. I will see how the new system does on LF as I have an Infinity Kappa 1200w sub that would go in the trunk being powered by a JBL Stadium 1000 amp. I built a home theatre sub using the Kappa 1200w (powered with 1500w amp) and it rattles doors 2 floors away.... Hah. I have a problem.
