I noticed on the spreadsheet for options there is an entry for 727-01-01 that modifies the sound output. Has anyone tried this? Now that I have sorted most of my 2010 SHOs issues I want to upgrade the less than stellar Sony 12 channel system. Many thanks to this forum for recommending Forscan. What an invaluable tool that has become!

You don’t need to change any audio settings via Forscan. You need an amplifier interface that goes between the APIM and ACM behind the screen that will give you two pairs of RCAs for front and back and two dedicated non-fading subwoofer RCA signals.

I have the PAC AmpPRO AP4-FD21 and have upgraded the whole sound system retaining all factory wiring. There is also another cheaper AmpPRO model for just adding a subwoofer. You can find them at Crutchfield.

IMO the sound processing of the Sync 3 APIM and Sony amp is pretty decent. You just need to upgrade the speakers themselves and add a subwoofer to hear it.
