From what I have seen thus far, a well-broken-in (10K mile) EcoSHO nwith mild tuning changes will be in the 12s.

After having been a Yamaha-SHO enthusiast since I bought my new '89 on 4/3/1989, I can TRULY now say that:

I DON'T GIVE A SHYTE WHAT A GEN1/2/3 SHO TURNS IN THE QUARTER. THE ECOSHO WILL KICK YOUR ASS.

And, being someone who feels that "BOTTLES ARE FOR BABIES", I could care less what you can run on the bottle.

I will eventually get to a new SHO down the road, and I suspect by then folks like Kirk and Torrie will have developed an 11-second streetable SHO.

Agree all the way down the line, including the last one. Ron, have you seen any of these in real life yet? Still none here on the Island, but I am at the head of the test drive list for when one gets to Nanaimo. Looking on the Ford Canada site, I really do like that dark red... :)

calm down buddy

I bet there are many SHO's right now that will walk all over an ECOSHO on a road course..... take a car that is 1,000 to 2,000lbs lighter, and traps damn near the same MPH in the 1/4........ and you have a recipe for a BEATING....... I could name off a few SHO's N/A around here that would give it serious problems!

Um well, IM not sure about that.. I have had the fastest SHO at the convention since Indy, never passed by anyone.. Maybe by Kegal in the stang but I think I got him back. Anyway this car "feels" far superior than my gen 2 in the turns.. Now let me say that im not making the corners at NHMS at 100 in the new car, just on the street.. its just the seat of pants feel real real good..

I think with a pair of slicks on the ECOSHO it might just beat my gen 2 on the road course..

Over the winter I would like to head to a large fast track like Road Atlanta to test the car.. *** Hint to anyone that lives close** that a Feburary event would be awesome to be invited to.. *** Hint > driving Hard

Ill let Torrie do the 11 second car first, he has way more money than I do, and can afford to blow things up. IMO the heavy duty stuff should come in after the warranty expires.

guess I need to start wiring and sheetrocking the guest room

Carolina Motorsports Park in Feb with NASA if you want to stick it in TT and time it (you do). CMP will test any brakes you want to test. Also for TT, March at Road Atlanta. No Feb RA events with NASA, maybe with Chin or something but haven't seen a 2010 schedule yet

I'd be very curious to see what the new SHO would turn at RA on sticky tires. I've got a whole pile of gen1/2 lap times to compare to.

I am really curious as to what the first weak link will be.

And I have a suspicion that it won't be the tranny. Don't know why I say that, but I think it will be something else.

i have a feeling the weak point's gonna be related to the AWD system...center diff or something.

No questions asked, the new SHO will destroy all previous quarter mile records. Its all in the launch and you can't beat the AWD system. ****, if someone does keep track of this I don't think we will see a previous generation SHO in the top 10.
