What is it, and what does it control?? Looks to be connected to a coolant temp sensor. Thanks

I don't know what it is but it appears that the auto's have more room behind the engine. I never realized that. Or perhaps I'm just seeing it wrong.

That is the center crash sensor and yes, the auto's engine is positioned several inches farther forward to make room for that big ol' slushbox. Even the coil pack is angled and the radiator cover panel is cut differently due to the forward placement of the engine.

The change in engine position required that Ford retest the SHO for crash safety. That was one reason the auto SHO took a while to reach the market.

Man, I guess I didnt look at the wired well enough. I was hoping it was coolant sensor related to solve the dang coolant temp sens prob. Thanks!

When I was doing my rear plug well seals I would have LOVED to have that much room to get the rear valve colver on and off.

Isn't the coolant temp sensor in the bottle right next to the radiator?

No, neither of the coolant temperature sensors is in the overflow bottle.

its not the coolant temp sensor in the bottle its just the level indicator for the 'low coolant' light on the dash
