Well besides having my heater blendor stuck on hot... When I open my heat it freaking STINKS! Its not a dirty smell, meaning its not a smell that is from the car being dirty... It smells like chemicals or something is wet for a long long time... its hard to explain... Would a bad antifreeze cause such problem or maybe even something died in there?(I dont think so but...) Where can I start looking to fix this problem? please help I cant use my HEAT, and its getting cold here...HELP!!! :help:

Nope, there is no fogging... I thought about that too but no sign of fogging or anything... When there is fog on the windshield it clears it up... But it doesnt really smell like straight anti-freeze, its a freaking wierd weird smell... Does the SHO's have any cabin filters or any other types of filters that might be dirty? I dont know I am just throwing out ideas... :frown:

pull the blower control mod. Clean it & the area it sits in as that is where any crap that fell down the defrost slots or got pulled in from the outside air inlet will sit. I'v found straws, pens, business cards, stickie notes, candy, kids toys, pine needles, leaves & just dirt stuck there!

Clean out the cowl area. Small bits of leaves and other assosiated crap can fall in there. Will start to rot and stink, and you will smell it when you have fresh air coming in through the vents

You might wanna check to see if a mouse or something got up in there and died! Not sure if it would be easily accessible, but it does happen at times. =P Just a thought!

Go buy some Frigi-Fresh. Spray it into the air intake under the hood(the one for the cabin, not the one for the engine). Spray a bunch in there while somebody switches between settings. Spray some into the vents on the dash as well. It could be some mold in the vent system, and this will take care of that problem. You could also go to a detailing shop and have them ozone the interior for you.

Mine smells like old air, its annoying but it heats good. Could mold be the problem? And where in the engine bay is the vent/filter thing for the inside of the car?

Open the hood, and look right up next to the wipers. There are little vents up there. Those are for your interior.
