Hey all, my 2010 seems to be blowing a spark plug/coil on cylinder 1. I’ve been using the Livernois 91 tune for 3 years now and never had issues. Recently it started misfiring under heavy acceleration though. If i stomp it, if shudders, loses power, end cel starts flashing. Put it back to stock, replaced coil and spark plug, and no more misfires. Put it back to 91 and it’s misfiring again. Faulty tune/map sensor? I’ve got high quality packs and plugs so.

I would definitely address this with Livernois.

If you flash back to stock, does the issue go away?

Could be faulty both or-- either. MAP sensor failure will hurt bad tune also. Are you able to data log?

It does until I retune, then it stays until I replace the spark plug and coil pack and flash to stock.

Livernois will probably ask you to upgrade to their $1600 HPFP. The answer is always MO MONEY...

how does the plug look when you pull it? Does it smell like fuel?

If you replace the plug but keep the tune, does it drive fine for a bit until misfiring again? If you switch the coil to another cylinder does the misfire follow?

If you're just replacing the one plug, I have to ask if you are using the proper heat range and gap for your tune? If using a stock plug/gap with a tune you're going to get spark blowout and foul it out pretty quick.
