Chased my misfire for months. I have a 2015 Non PP 140K miles running Unleashed 91 octane tune for the past 16 months, car has been flawless no matter what octane I ran, the car adjusted just fine. A couple months back, It started to stumble if easing into the throttle, no codes, pulled the plugs that had 14K and changed them out anyways, problem was still there. That went on for weeks. I watched a youtube video that showed a vacuum hose had come off adjacent to the CAI tube. I checked mine an low and behold my hose had come off. I replaced it with a new hose and also put a spring clamp to hold it on. Car ran great for a few days and then again started to run really rough. I couldn't get a code to save me and finally out of frustration, I matted the throttle and all **** broke loose. Codes O'plenty and limp mode. Misfire at #3 &6. My amazon code reader simply said misfire, but my Snap-on reader showed which cylinders. I knew it wasn't the plugs so I figured 140K miles was time for coil packs. I replaced them with Motorcraft and went for a drive. This time a code for misfire at #3 only. I decided to replace the new coil pack at #3 with an old one. Went for a drive and the car ran great and no codes.......Next morning on the way to work it went into limp mode and check engine light was red and blinking. P2306 and P2309. Cylinders 3&4 low coil voltage. Did a search in this forum and found another 2015 with exactly those two codes. For him, it was the PCM. I contacted Keyworks PCM repair (whom I had watched his PCM repair videos on youtube) messaged him on Ebay, my codes and he said they could fix it. Spent $55 for two day Fed Ex only to have them say they can't repair it and they were sending it back. I then purchased a used one on Ebay for $60 shipped and paid $250 for a local company here in Phoenix to program it. The Ford dealer cannot re-program a used one. The Programming people told me the misfire's are what lunched the PCM. Car is again flawless. So if your PCM is in fact damaged, a repair service may not be the way to go. Flawless may have been premature.........Speedometer was reading 11mph too slow. 77mph was 88. Called the programmer back out and although he corrected that, he somehow managed to brick my SCT so no more tune. This entire event was right at $1000.

I had some wiring short out the PCM. I picked one up at the local junkyard for $60. I then had Great Lakes Ford in Muskegon reprogram my 2015 SHO and it's never run so well. Cost at the dealership was only $125. This was about 2 1/2 years ago.
