I guess I belong to you guys :salute: hence I live in Wichita, Kansas.
My mechanic who has been in my family for many years and always treated us right, told me he is very unfamiliar with the SHO and was wary about even touching it for a 60K even after spending days researching it. Told me maybe I should take it to a FORD dealership, but heard stories of FORD screwing things up. With me being in Wichita, Ks and seeming to be far far away from SHO recommended shops, is there anyone around me or shop with some SHO knowledge?

Thanks,
David

I'm up in kansas city. I've got lots of experience under the hood of a SHO. I'd be happy to lend a hand.

Well my mechanic is afraid touch the 180,000 mile car, and I need a 60K done and a new cps. Not at all familiar with SHO engines. I am familiar with with 3.0 OHV Vulcan's which does not help a lot....

My 95 MTX has 180k as well haha. I've done 2 60k services before. They are not too bad provided you have a decent set of tools. I can tackle a front 60k in about 4 hours give or take.

An ATX, from what I have read and seen is a little bit easier to work with. Not to mention the engine is a little bit further forward in the engine bay. Maybe we could do a little SHO meet with the Oklahoma guys? I've yet to meet any of them yet anyway. :munch:

Well this leads to somewhat of a problem....... Well my car will either run, stall, or not run at all. So I need a new cps and a running car to go anywhere. Just need a 60k to get her going.

Tim did a complete 60k on my car about 10k miles ago. Awesome guy to work with! I'd recommend him anytime to anyone! That was an awesome trip. First time I met Tim and Curtis and got my SHO running better! We most definitely need another SHO meet!

I did indeed get my stuff, thank you very much, hopefully this weekend I will get to throw it on the '90 and troubleshoot these running issues :)...

What seat do you need recovered? Oh and do you still want that sunshade?

Um, I can't remember about the sunshade, was it a black one? And as far as seats, I have a full leather interior that is in decent shape, except for the driver seat, which is pretty trashed. Need only it done, assuming we could get it matched.
