I hear it helps body stiffness, or something like that.

The trunk lid is off too, they do it for better air flow threw the car. Yesterday the temperature outside was around 100º. I think Sergio said it was getting over 140º inside the car. So all the air flow the better for the car and the drivers.

Also on the 6 SHOs in the race 5 are from Texas one is from Oklahoma.

Sweet. Just found this section.

Anyone know where the Live Oak Resorts car finished? It's the one with the fake boobies all over it?

The rod jettisoned it's piston before liftoff. Rad.
The fact that these engines aren't doing too bad lately is causing me to lose motivation to continue my build...if that makes any sense.

The car has all the glass in it, so removing the doors/and trunklid shaves a noticeable amount of weight off the car, the less weight the longer the brakes/tires and fuel last. I saw temps of 112ºF in the car durring the race, and I know it'd have been much hotter with the doors and trunk on.

I think they finished 9th place, but i'm not certain. Since it is you asking Doug, this confirms my suspicions of the ownership history of that car.
*edit* they finished in 6th place , 9th place was the #27 car the green Gen 2, and Zip tie finished 10th!
