ok, so i was about to jump into my first front 60k when i noticed the shoulders on my crank bolt are TOTALLY round...
i tried to get it off anyway but to no avail, i'm thinking i'll heat it and then use a trick rounded bolt puller socket or just hammer an 18 on there, but before that, does anyone know where i can get a replacement?

i called a local ford dealer and they pretty much said no way!

thanks.

Try a junk yard. Worse comes to worse, you can cut the head off and drill it out... Or you can cut a slot and use an impact.

I had to retap the treads on the crank in the '92 this weekend.

Craftsman Bolt-Out (size #13). Worked like a charm for me on my stripped crank bolt.

I then posted in the "WTB" forum and was able to get a used crank bolt through the forum.
