While on cruise control, at 70 MPH, the system drops out. Was able to resume and go for about 5 minutes and then another drop off. Resumed again, and then all dropped out. Car went into limp home mode, lack of power, can't shift tranny either auto or manual, low speed! "GET OUT OF TRAFFIC!" Following indications, flashing wrench light/cross traffic system fault alternately in center gauge. Traction control warning light in right gauge cluster on constantly. Got to side of road, shut ignition off, and restarted car, all back to normal. My fault, I failed to get health report 1st time. 2nd event about 3 weeks later, this time I got the report. On both, shutting down and restarting car reset errors and I was able to continue on normally.
Engine\Tranmission repoert - Wrench - Urgent - Power train malfunction\Reduced power
Brakes\Suspension - TC, IVD, RCS Event Fault
Dealer verified and followed TSB 10174 and replaced TR Sensor and pin.
IAW my tech, this sensor would cause intertmittent feedback into the system causing the problem. Only time will tell if it is indeed fixed.
If this happen to you, you imediatelty become a safety hazard on the road.
