Is 215 70 16 to big?

Just want to know if tire 215 70 16 are to big for tire, will they touch the plastic or something like that

It's not even an issue if they are too big. They would simply be too ***.

haha for sure my SHO will look ugly but it just for this winter.......... doesn'T really matter as soon as winter finish i do a big burnout and scrap those tire

there too big, its gunna make your speedo read lower then your actually going and it might get you a ticket because you wont think twice about it. Also thats going to cut down on acceleration and braking power by having bigger tires, just something to keep in mind.:thumb:

isn't the stock size 215 65 16 ? They should fit then and will just be a bit taller, but OK for the winter

Stock is 215/60/16. The 70 series tire is more than an inch too tall and will probably rub the spring perch in the front.

Bah anyway i decide i'm going to buy new winter tire and sell them back the next winter for a good price.......aprox 500 to 600 for new tire and i can sell them back for 300 to 350 next years iff i only use them like december to april, maybe i little beffore april..........

About the tires rubbing on the spring. I would have to agree that anything over 60 would probably rub. 60 is really close. If you look at it, you will see there isn't much room with the 60 in there.

Im running 225/45/17 with custom rims. 70 series tire is way too tall, and would look silly i think.My stock rims had 225/55/16

also my son just bought a 91 mtx and while looking for parts someone told him that SHO prices were getting ready to go way up.wondering if anybody had heard anything about that.

They will only rub for about 50 miles...but then they lose all their air and the car catches fire.
