half-way there, I think.
Okay, after driving the blower car on Friday in very hot temps and feeling the power loss, it's time for some charge cooling. Air to Air is just not feasible for me, some I'm thinking Liqiud to Air. After doing a search on Ebay, I think I found what I'm going to use.

Now this is were I need to make a decision. I don't really want to have a ice cooler in my trunk, I'm thinking more along the line of how the Lightnings are done. Use a small radiator/cooler, an electric pump and the intercooler. My question is this feasible will it work at all?? I'm thinking I might add a small pusher fan to the radiator part of the system to help with heat soak conditions.

Thoughts, opinions or should I just run N2O as charge cooling :nut:

Id drop Josh a line.

IIRC, he mentioned a setup he ran before the ice-chest-in-the-trunk setup.
It was a setup (air/water) that involved two small "radiators" that fit down near the fog lamps. I remember him saying it worked quite well, just not enough for the boost he was running, and prolonged track usage.

just another idea....
http://www.cryofuzion.com/products.htm#Interfreezer
However, considering the type of useage... this may not be the best bet. Plus its probably alittle more than the W-to-A your looking at doing. but it would be slightly easier to install. Plus when it is activated, the gains would be well worth it.. IMO....
If there "flow chart" is correct, the PRO model seems to be the best candidate...

just thought i throw that out there...  anywho...

Naw, I want something I don't have to recharge a 10lb bottle of CO2 besides I'd do N2O before I would spend my money on something unproven. I'm going to do the liquid to air IC, just not sure on how I want to cool the thing yet.

I too would MUCH rather have a closed and self contained system. Thats why I want with a big air/air IC on my boosted SHO.

I know water injection works great, but I know that I would get fed up with it quick. Having to pop the hood all the time to refill. But then, my cars are far from weekend warriors or track cars. They are daily driven.

:thumb: I like that idea.. since I have no foglights anymore. Thanks Kenny

No problem. :thumb: Im still trying to remember what kind of radiators he used.... im thinking it was some king of OEM (used) setup modified from another vehicle, but cannot remember much.

Found an exact cooler like that but without the name on it, cost $150.

Good intercooler. TexanTony uses those for his intercooler kits that he sells.

Tony, Wilson and I run those intercoolers.

works very well. I also have another "test" in progress for the cooling radiator in the front.

On this intercooler you will have clean the threads up with a 1/2'' pipe thread tap and install a 90 degree fitting on the back if you don't want to cut into the fender.

P.s. also before you install it, run some water through the water and air ports. Some of them come with stuff inside it.;)
