I have been having problems with the idle for quite a while on my 93 atx. I have replace the fuel pump and the relay and i have also changed the tps. The car starts fine when the engine is cold but if the engine is warm, the tach sticks for a split second around 1k then up to 1500 then back down to idle. This is where it starts to go bad and sputter and act like it is going to stall. Usually after about a couple minutes of driving this clears up and its fine. Now, as the engine starts to warm up as im driving, if i come to a stop and let it idle for about 30 seconds or so it starts to sputter again. The last time this happened i put in new plugs to see if it would help and the problem cleared up and went away. That was about 3 months ago and now the problem is back. I was thinking it might have something to do with the iac/iab but i really dont know. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

It seems that if new plugs fixed it before for 3mos. then new plugs should fix it again. I think the first thing to check is the plugs for some sort of moisture that might cause them to foul and go from there.

Here's what I would try before looking at anything else. Again, going on the premise that the plugs fixed it before is get maybe 3 plugs and swap them in each bank to see if maybe you could narrow down the problem. Perhaps too much unburned gas is coating the cylinder? That's a really big guess. I mean it could be a sensor or a check valve or something else.
