Best experience I've had with SHO Shop. I recieved all my parts within four days of payment. Vadim did a really nice job I must say! I'm getting closer to owning a "super SHO"!!! I wonder if Vadim knew what color my motor was, the red hoses he selected will really look nice, IMHO.

I also recieved my gauge pod too... Very nice piece, I deffinitely recommend it!! I am going to sand it smooth and paint it... As well as the trim ring on the boost gauge.

Jason did you have to modify the mounting bracket to fit your gauges?

I have not acutally mounted them, that is why the are sitting on my legs so I can take the pic. I'll have to modify the bracket, one side will have to be cut shorter than the other. I have already modified one from a previous gauge pod I had made when I was going to use nitrous.

I'm jealous, but on a side note. i hear SHOShop has really gotten it back in order and that ordering through them shouldn't be such a hassel now. and with this group buy of SC's coming up in spring I'm sure SC kits will go from them. Showing them the aftermarket is still needed.

Nice!

I can't wait for my similar goody box next week!

If you don't mind me asking, what did Vadim charge for that lot pictured? Someday I may switch to that set-up.

Since I've never seen the actual bracket, what/where exactly do all those holes mount to? Do the blowers use the belt system thats already on the car?

You going to paint the tubing to match your intake?

The bracket is that flat piece of metal with welded spacers. The SC mounts to that and the bracket mounts to the engine. Yes, it does use and existing belt, but it will need a much longer belt. Gatorbacks are pricless. I will be color matching the tubing.... but I may do power coating as I have a great deal headed my way.

Yes sir! I have been meaning to finish that thing. I started that when I was living in New York a couple years ago.

Ok Jason, i know its been covered a bizilllion times before. but can a fairly stock motor, maintance up to date, handle 6-9lbs. yes or no. easy answer. you dont have to go into a deep description, if you dont want to. i will be having a trip of my own here fairly soon also.

Yes! But there are things you have to consider. Cooling is an issue... Not so much with that amount of boost, but if you start pushing it, which you will, you'll need some sort of intake cooling. I will be mimicking Pat and using water injection. More expensive routes to take are intercoolers.

Consider this, Pat's white car... is running 15lbs of boost, approximately 536 hp at the crank. It is a completely stock motor from top to bottom. Tuning, monitoring, and cooling are the key! Maintenance is a given of course. :p

One thing I cannot stress enough is tuning.... You'll need a TwEECer RT, period!

I am willing to answer any questions to alleviate the load off of Josh, Pat, and the others. Most of my SC SHO knowledge is coming from them anyway :D

What number did you use to order your parts? I tried contacting them today to order parts and got machines on both numbers I used. I'm not available to be called back.

Also, there's a company that's called Reichard Racing that offers a slip free pulley for vortech S/C's in 6 rib models. Worth looking into

you won't be able to. You purchased a clockwise rotation blower (I was eyeing that auction...) and a sho shop setup is counter clockwise, hence the blower being mounted 180 degrees from yours. You'd be sucking air out of the motor theoretically!

Also when I say stock cooling system I mean the standard one SHOSHOP supplies with their S/C kit. as pictured in the above post. Stock meaning not modifying the one they sell.

I am pushing over 400 hp and use the stock cooling system. It is more than adequete for the job of the 12 or so psi I am boosting ALTHOUGH water injection would be a + but not necessary. Also the SHOSHOP lpm has been fine but the twEECer will definitly help fine tune it when I get one. If I had to chose I would have gotten a twEECer but I bought the car as is.

We also live at 5,000+ feet above sea level, where the cooling system is only about able to remove about 75% of the heat that it can at sea level. Additionally, if you track your car, you'll find that the stock cooling system is far, far from adequate. You'll also find that you need some form of charge cooling or you'll be breaking piston ring lands on a regular basis. Without water injection Pat was seeing 8+ degrees of spark retard due to knock on a Cold night. And that is on top of the SHO Shop's already ******** timing curve.

Oh, blaming it on the elevation now :p
J/K see theres one of the differences why I posted what I posted. Here in lower elevation we do not feel these ill effects at 10+ psi
