I recently found a new timing belt tensioner for my ATX "Ford Performance Specialists" They dont list it on there web site, you have to call to get one. $200.00 :shakehead But it is BRAND NEW and the SHO is on the road again :) Anyway I took the old one apart, there is not much to them. Has anyone ever attemped to rebuild these??? Just curious...

I'm sure you can... just gotta find the parts that fit... which probably wont be labeled as such. Meaning, some research for the correct parts is in order.

Nice to know that Ford still has the tensioner.... Thought they had been discontinued. Thanks for the tip.

I have several brand new ones - and a source for more..new Ford ones. I had them up for sale for $150 awhile ago. Nobody was really interested.
