this is ****, I installed a new crankshaft sensor on the original bolts, and I see that the plate that goes between the sensor is bent, apparently when the old sensor was crooked, now I’ll somehow carefully align it with a hammer. A plate that rotates with a pulley.

guys, hello everyone! I'm back to repairing again, after a short trip. I removed the crankshaft sensor plate, it needs to be leveled. It's too far to buy another one. Does anyone have a photo of the flat back side?

Considering that the gap between the vane and CPS is only 30 thou, i wouldn't attempt to get it straight, but get another one. SHO Source may have a used one.

Snow on the ground already? That sucks. I obviously agree with Nick above and myself from previous post. It is a shippable part. Just find a good used one. Contact Dan B (SV&HOdan) on this forum and see if he has a used one he can sell you. Shosource as mentioned above also.

oh man, ******* snow, I’ll follow your advice and buy a used one.

Before removing the timing belt, I took a photo of the marks. And as I understand it, perhaps I set the camshafts wrong?

Can't tell if you have the timing marks correct from the pics. I don't see any of the marks. One thing I did notice though is that the timing belt was on backwards going by the lettering on it. If that is still the case with the new belt they can't possibly be lined up correctly.

there are pics on the sho phoenix website https://www.yamahasho.com/lower60k/lower60k2.htm this is a 3 page procedure (front 60k procedure) for timing belt/water pump replacement. Save this website if you find it useful.

He was always my 1st go to for used parts. After that, check out shosource-- and the group on facebook I hear is really good for finding parts.

I always have good luck here on the forum posting in the WTB section.
The best thing about the SHO motor is it's non-interference. Take that belt off rotate the cams to line up.
Put the bolt in the crank and do the same. Then when the new crank sensor shutter wheel shows up then she will be ready to go.

Guys, hello everyone! I'm a complete idiot, I've been setting the crankshaft incorrectly all this time without removing the pulley, it's not possible to set a mark, I stupidly set it in the wrong way. I leveled the plate using a pack of peanuts, where I live there's a problem with spare parts for the sho. Started the car, everything is fine, probably a gift from Santa. All that remains is to find the two lower timing covers. Thank you all for your help!
