You know what's funny? My stripper model 90 def. has an 18 gal. tank....but when I ran my 95 MTX to empty, it only took 14.5 gal. to fill, so I suppose it's a 16 gal. and the 95 is a fully loaded model.

My information is that by 95 if they were short of 18 gal tanks, they just threw in the regular production 16 gal tanks, so the 95s could have either apparently at random.

It is a beautiful day out here in Lemont, IL. The temperature is nice, the sun is shining, the birds are chirping.........and the SHO is alive again! That's right......it's fixed! I pulled the fuel sender and pump out, and this is what I found. There's that brass fitting that goes to the rubber line connecting the pump to the fuel supply line on the sender itself. Well, the fitting was half out of the fuel pump, causing the pressure to bleed back into the tank (leak). If jammed it back in, and made sure the rubber fuel line wouldn't come loose. Put it back in....and wham....had fuel pressure of around 30 psi when I primed the pump 2 times. I took her out for a ride, no stumbling.....she was all there. Punched it....all there. Fuel pressure jumps up to around 40 psi at WOT. So for now, it's running.

~James~ I checked out the wiring on the sender, everything looks good. When I start to upgrade this car, I will be replacing the sender, right around the time I get the new fuel pump, and aftermarket pressure regulator. Now it's title time!

Thanks to everyone trying to help out, you guys are a good group of people. I'm happy to share a liking of the SHO's with all of you.

Now it's TLC time for the Sho, and my daughter is going to help me Simple Green clean the interior.....what I nice thing to do on a Sunday!!!! Hope everyone enjoys the day.

Just took the car out for a nice ride, WOT all the way to 7000RPM in 1st through 3rd gear, car is all there. I'm happy, glad you guys all helped me get this solved. Now to move on to some other things. Gotta put some rear brake pads on, and replace the passenger side wheel bearing. But now it's at least road worthy.

You did it all yourself, you checked the pressure and pulled the pump assembly to diagnose. :)

By the way, I only have a rubber hose and don't have to worry about that problem.

I've already priced out a crank, cam, and TPS sensors through Advanced Auto Parts. They are all pretty cheap.
I priced out a Cam Sensor and TPS at my work (Westfield Ford), here's what I got from them

Cam Sensor: $191
TPS Sensor: $89

I work at a dealer, and I would still be paying out the a*s!

Glad to hear you got the problem fixed...and it was just a loose hose....

But, your dealer isn't cutting you a very good break.... www.rockauto.com sells the cam sensor for $50...a Ford one.

Thats a crank sensor for 191... not a cam. He mixed them up, or is incompetent behind the counter...

Glad you got it running. I knew the issue was in the tank...

What kind of discount do you get at work? I can find oem ford dealer crank sensor for almost half price. Cheaper aftermarket but still, $191 is full price.

Glad you got it up and running properly again.

Yeah, the parts guy is kind of an a**hole at my work. He's a very mono tone person. He was having a text conversation, and I interupted him, or so he made it seem. Anyhow, I think he was way off on the prices. He was $230 on a fuel pump/sender unit. Rock Auto seems to be where it's at for parts like that.;)

Ohhh, this is a bad day for me.
Can anyone begin to explain how a low pressure situation in the fuel system can trigger a tps code, a crank position sensor code and a MAF code?
If you check the codes now, is everything OK?

my guess is they are old codes that had not been reset.

I've reset the battery, and I'm not getting anymore codes. I'm thinking because the car was running and kept stumbling and stalling, that it set a few codes??? My TPS code was because when I goosed it on the KOER test, it fell flat on it's face, because I had only 12 lbs of fuel pressure.
