Heat Management on after market Down Pipes

What is everybody using to manage the heat coming off the after market cats? I would like to use some type of insulating blanket, but I don't see any that will withstand that much heat.

I just wrapped my downpipes in DEI Heat Wrap. Worked great.

This is going on my downpipes when I do the tranny this winter wrapped in stainless heat shield.

I used Jet-Hot to coat mine in their 2K coating on my last set. The cats were touchable at full operating temp.

Wow! Hard to believe that was six years ago.

Jet-Hot coated PPE downpipes heat test.

And the verdict is... Touchable at full operating temp. 245° was the highest temp I could find. While obviously too hot to handle or keep your hand on I was comfortable feeling all around the pipe without fear of burns. I really wish I would have done the same test with the factory pipes but...
