I'll be there. I won't race the SHO but I'll join in the festivities. It's a long way off, but perhaps the Ottawa contingent (myself, Ian M., et. al.) can convoy to la Belle Province.

Not true. In Quebec 18 is the legal drinking age.

So have you picked a date yet? Just a reminder the V6 Ford Challenge is the weekend of May 29th-30th. SOunds like a cool event though for sure.

The date has been set at May 29th now for a while (if you read back from the start of this thread, you will get a good idea of how things progressed).

Where is the event that you talk about being held? Also no one else mentioned this date. I don't think it will be a great conflict unless they are both Ontario/Quebec events. The way its shaping up on the GP side, its going to be 95% OQCGP members and perhaps a couple of US members driving down.

From what I see so far, many US people from the SHO side are looking at coming, but no great number of commitments from the Ontario\Quebec side yet (it *is* early, but could be progressing a little more).

I'm not worried or discouraged easily. I have faith that this event will evolve into something really nice!

There are many others that haven't commited themselves yet. I'd say atleast 15 or more cars could be added to the list. This should be one of the biggest events of the year. Don't sleep on this. It'll be well worth the drive.

Big blast and then a slowdown in the action... just like a 1/4 mile race.

I've made a small website that is centralizing info gleamed from the OQCGP, SHOforum, ClubGP and MontrealRacing boards. The web address is:

Its currently in "beta" format, but its a start.

I'd also appreciate some help from you Soopa, in the form of emails sent to me as any new updates to the SHO confirmation of attendees list ([email protected])

Also things like suggestions, events, ideas for photo shoots, videos, entertainment ideas and so forth are all welcome from everyone. I will start to layout the itinerary over the next couple of weeks and putting all the info on one website (mentioned above).

Just as an enticement, on the GP side we're up to 16 confirmed members from OQCGP alone, and of course one from Misti (QWKCHK) here... so that makes it 17.

Let's keep things moving in the right direction!

Its now up to 4 boards that are reading up on the SHO-down event this May 29th, so what I have done is make a small website that centralizes a certain amount of info about the event:

Its currently in beta and the itinerary is completely off the cuff and not finalized.
