Hello guys and gals, every when should I change my fuel filter on my '95 SHO. I have changed it when I first bought the car @ 21K miles(1 year ago), and now I have 44K on the car.
Thank you.

I think that was one of the 30,000 interval replacement parts. (I don't think I've replaced mine in 100,000 miles).

A good rule: Never fill up at a station when the tanker truck is filling the tanks and stirring up all the silt in the underground tanks. Wait at least an hour or so if you can.

I am pretty sure my filter is in need of a change. My only question is,WHERE THE **** is it!?!? I looked all over for the stupid thing. The chilton's I have sucks. It showed no diagrams or mention of location of the fuel filter, just the procedure for doing it.

I believe that it is right by the fuel tank. I change mine every 12000 miles. If the filter starts restricting the flow then the pump in the tank has to work harder. I would rather change 15 filters over 180000 miles than change a fuel pump.

according to the book, it should be every 10,000 miles. It's a 10 dollar part, so 100 dollars over 100,000 miles isn't bad at all. Cheap insurance.

It's located just in front of the passenger side rear wheel, underneath the car and a little in from the edge of the rocker panel.

You should release the fuel line pressure before removing the clips on the fuel line at the filter. Do this by placing a 1/4" rubber hose on the release valve on the engine's fuel rail, routing the hose into an empty oil bottle and sticking a paper clip through the hose to press the release valve pintle. Just a squirt of fuel into the bottle, but better than to have it spray around the engine compartment or on you.
