For Sale: 1995 Taurus SHO manual transmission, one of 7 or 8 with Silver body over mocha (tan) interior. Last of the manual transmission SHOs. Double overhead cam engine designed and built by Yamaha with 7300 rpm factory rev limit.

The Good - always a New England car, but has NEVER been driven in winter, always stored. Always garage kept in summer. One of 7 or 8 made with Artic Silver over Mocha tan half cloth half leather, no rips or tears. No dents or dings in doors fenders hood, rear deck lid etc.

Oil changed every 3 K miles with synthetic, inside of engine is very clean.

Purchased from original owner in 2018, have only driven it about 4 K miles. During my ownership added forged steel flywheel, clutch has reinforced pressure plate straps. New old stock disc. New headliner with NOS (new old stock) sunroof cover. New Ford OEM fuel pump. Fresh valve cover gaskets plugs and wires, and valve clearance adjustment. Recently rebuilt Quaife limited slip equipped transmission from my other SHO with considerable assistance from SHOnut Performance, new parts included all new synchronizers, synchronizer blocking rings, and all new bearings including the bearings that are difficult to source. Replaced heater core and blend door with all NOS parts. Everything cleaned thoroughly during the replacement (HVAC system, carpets removed, shampooed etc). New NOS rear calipers and pads.

Has Gen III subframe swap, one of a kind Bilstein front struts valved for NOS stock front springs. Rear has NOS 1995 spec rear shocks. Engine stock except for catalytic converter downpipe. Original cat back in pretty good shape. Recently resealed oil pan. 11.6 inch front brake upgrade.
Rides and drives very nice.

The Bad - small ding next to drivers side tail light. May swap out one or two slicers for nicer ones I have on hand but the set on there have never been curbed, no bends, clean for the miles.

Backstory: A half dozen years ago the 95 manual transmission SHO I bought new from the dealer rusted out. I had given up finding another one, everything looked at had underbody rust. About gave up when this one came up for sale. Higher mileage (127 K) but bought it due to the nearly immaculate body and underbody.
Clean factory paint except for the small dent mentioned. Bought from original owner including all service records.
After buying I have stored winters in a heated concrete building/garage kept in summer. Reason for sale - too many cars.

$8500 USD. Anyone paying full price will get a NOS passenger side SHO headlight and NOS Sable drivers side headlight (current headlights are in very good shape). Also available is a NOS 25 mm rear sway bar. Carfawks available upon request.

Please reach me on "Conversations" (private messages) I will check a couple of times a week, please include e-mail, location and phone no.

I have an NOS drivers side Gen2 headlight that I've had put away for some time. I'd be interested in the NOS passenger side if you will sell it separately.

I took a look at it today ( I live 20 minutes away) and drove it.
Impressions - it is like driving a brand new car. Shifter is precise, clutch is light, steering is light and precise. Love the cloth seats! Does need the 25/26mm rear bar though.
Body has dirt, no rust. Even the undercarriage spots you expect a little bit of surface rust - none on this car.

No creaks, groans, thunks, sunroof rattles - really is pristine, but with subtle upgrades.

Considering I am planning on doing many of these upgrades to my car (front brake upgrade, Gen3 subframe) and mine needs paint and the seats redone, this is a really good deal.

Zak, that is a beautiful car! I did not expect you to have half of the wheels on backwards...

This SHO will be headed into its heated winter storage in a few weeks. Going to (ahem) address the front wheel position (thanks Rubydist) and swap a NOS front brake hose in before storing. Not easy to get it out for showings but it is possible for a serious buyer. Will sign up for Bring a Trailer in the spring. In the meantime been driving it to work a couple of times a week, enjoying the SHOs unique power band, these cars have soul.

Car is currently up on jackstands all around for underbody wash, dry then pictures. Anything in particular that should be photographed for a discerning SHO buyer? Am thinking brake lines would prove its never seen winter (other than the Gen 3 subframe that came from another build).
